Freezes and other issues sound more like an issue with your settings or an incompatible 3rd party plugin. If you only use your external drive under Local Media, restoration should work, because the infos are stored in the local media library database and not on the usb device. You can try to manually connect the drive, Preferences > Plugins > Portables > 'Nullsoft USB Devices plugin'.ģ. So that your HDD isn't shown under Portables anymore has nothing to do with BT. ![]() It's impossible for me to backup these files, because I never get a fixed drive letter. Pmp_usb saves an ini file and a database file on the usb devices, which contains your settings. It will not work, when you are using the Portable view in the library. Only if you use the external hard drive under 'Local Media', you can use the Backup Tool.
